E - Mentoring
We currently are trying to adopt a Mentoring programme from a booklet which will work with KS3. It basically just allows them to write achievements and also lets the teacher write targets.
I do not like the idea of paper based as it can be lost easily. Does any body have or heard of a web based software that allows this to be done?

Re: E - Mentoring
You could knock something up with a MS Access and then make a simple ASP script using the utilities in Access and then point staff to the database? I would imagine that it only needs to have a few boxes / Database fields:
1. Student Name
2. Staff Name
3. Student Comments
4. Staff Comments
5. Date
-------------- And so on.
There will probably be some web kit that will allow you do it but it might take a bit to track it down.

Re: E - Mentoring
I'm slowly getting there with some asp scripts i'm throwing together!
I have got the logon working, i have got the UPN stored in a cookie and i have got the cookie to allow the correct info to be pulled from the database!
If anybody else is interested in this and have relevant programming experience, then i'm willing to work with you to develop something!!!!

Re: E - Mentoring
Microsoft run a bit of software called "web matrix"
Its like a cut down version of VB.net and mainly used for web programming projects. You could have a look at that for your project its easy to use and there is a lot of support on their forum.
