Not sure where to put this so here goes.
I am after some UK hosting so I can point my domain (which I have with 1&1) at it so I can host sites/files. Can anyone recommend a good but cheap host. It is mainly so I can put an odd page up there and random files.
Prefer for it to be a UK host.

28th October 2011, 09:45 AM #3 I thought I'd jump in on this thread too with a little question, I have been after a VPS for awhile in place of hosting - after managing my own dedicated servers for years, I can't deal with restricted hosting!
I am not after much, a basic entry level one would be fine - would prefer a Server 2008 one though with RDP access.
Does anyone have any recommendations for such a company that could provide me this, for perhaps around the £100-120 a year mark?
Edit:
I have just had a look at velxoserv, they look reasonable.

28th October 2011, 09:57 AM #4 I've never used CSNewMedia but it is a name that keeps cropping up whenever this top is raised.
Although a little more expensive than you mention, I've had a couple of VPSs with Eukhost for some time now and I've not had any problems with them, and their support is pretty responsive.

V. good prices on dedicated! Me rikey.
Avoid webfusion, i used to use 3ix - they're pretty good (for just basic hosting) but not UK.

9th November 2011, 12:53 PM #13 I have a vps with XenVZ. Price was the main reason I went with them, but just noticed my server has been up for 412 days!
