Send File to Owner
Hi,
A friend of mine is setting up a business improving old / current photos for people.
What is the best way for them to get files to him (not email).
Can you add a link on a website to a public dropbox folder so they can drop it in there? Or can you add a form to the site that FTP's is to a certain folder? The dropbox would be better if possible.
Thanks
Karl

Forgot to add. These will be raw files or jpeg so will be too large to email.

28th June 2011, 08:56 AM #3 will it be done on approval by him? so i contact him, he agrees then gives me ftp details, or do i just upload it and then contact him?
if he will be contacting with details, then with most hosting packages you can set up ftp access, or im sure you could have a password protected area of a page with an upload box. considering dropbox's recent major fail i dont think people would be too happy if the world and his dog had access to the pics of great auntie edna

Yeah, basically they send him a photo, either a scanned one of great Auntie or several raw files if they would like modern ones converting. He does the work on them and sends them it back / puts it somewhere (with a watermark on). They approve, pay him via paypal, and then he sends them the full resolution picture.
