    Email for?

    If you don't need it hosted internally you could look at something like MailChimp, the free version.

    If you send them the same email every Monday, they will ignore it. This is a staff discipline problem, not a technology problem.

    Could change the subject each week to something exciting.

    - Free cake in the kitchen.
    - Staff drinks on Friday in the pub, all paid for by the headteacher.

    You get the idea.

    Hiya

    Just a thought, how about sending all staff a reoccuring Outlook appointment with the information attached?

    They probably wont look at it, but it will bug the hell out of them!!

    to do it with php just use:

    mail($to,$subject, $message) or whatever the manual says the function is.

    then set up a scheduled task to fire it off and change the $message as needed.

    don't spend to much time it though as everyone says it will be ignored

    you could setup a google spreadsheet with the timetable and then use a time 'trigger' on a google script to send the mail to each member of staff at the right time,eg 10 min before their duty.

    Google Apps Script - Google Apps Script - Google Code

    Code:
    function sendEmails() {
      var sheet = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSheet();
      var startRow = 2; // First row of data to process
      var numRows = 2; // Number of rows to process
      // Fetch the range of cells A2:B3
      var dataRange = sheet.getRange(startRow, 1, numRows, 2)
      // Fetch values for each row in the Range.
      var data = dataRange.getValues();
      for (i in data) {
        var row = data[i];
        var emailAddress = row[0];  // First column
        var message = row[1];       // Second column
        var subject = "Sending emails from a Spreadsheet";
        MailApp.sendEmail(emailAddress, subject, message);
      }
    }
    or more simply add the timetable to their calendar and send a 10min notification.
