creating Moodle theme

we're looking at setting up moodle as a parent portal but to be honest i have very little css knowledge but have been asked if it is possible to match the colours of our website (externally created and hosted). would anybody be able to help me with creating a theme for moodle that mimics our website colour scheme?

If you know the colours of your website, i.e the actual colour codes, then creating the theme suddenly becomes a much much easier task. A Basic CSS file for the moodle theme is both easy to edit and create. Me and the other technician here could certianly help you as we setup out moodle theme from scratch.
