    Turn off input box history

I've created an AJAX thingy majig that shows hints when searching. However, when a user types in something they have previously entered in a search box it shows up on top. I want to disable this - can anybody point me in the right direction?

    See attached file for example.

Adding the autocomplete="off" attribute to the <input> tag should do it.
