    Need help with GCalendar

    Hi all,

I'm trying to get the GCalendar module to work on our school website (Joomla 1.5.17).
The website is hosted on site and we our ISP is EMBC.
The GCalendar installs fine on Joomla 1.5.17 but when I run a system check of the module it is unable to connect to Google to grab calendar data.
    The error I get is:
Please contact your web hoster and check if their firewall blocks curl http calls to google.com.
curl is installed and working on the server.
Has anyone else had this problem or anything similar?

I've been told that EMBC are probably blocking curl http calls to google.com but I don't know exactly how to explain this the guys at EMBC and how to get them to unblock it.

My main goal is to get an upcoming events feed generated from serveral google calendars. GCalendar seems like the answer but if anyone else has found another program that does the job that would also help.

    Thanks,

    Hi Mike.

Did you ever resolve this one?

I'm looking to install gcalendar on my site and can see that I need to install the com item but which of or is it all of the 3 Modules and 2 plugins is a mystery to me at present?
