    Web Hosting Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good UK web hosting provider?

Specifically I'm looking a for Windows hosting that supports ASP and Access Databases.
Storage isn't too much of an issue as it's for a fairly small site, but customer/technical support who answer the phone and understand what you're asking would be handy.

Needless to say, cost is a factor and is one of the reasons I want to move from my existing hosts.

    Any suggestions?

I used to be all about pimping UK2 but not after the 3 weeks of no email accounts. Rediculous :/
1&1 are also a little sharkey, careful.

Don't have any recommendations apart from bad experiences

Tsohost get my vote at the minute. My colleague and I have both started using them and have been very impressed with the speed, price and quality of service.

I think someone on here recommended them to me originally actually.

Separate I would imagine within the account as it says they have separate email & databases.

That may have been me . I've been using them for about a year now and never waited more then about 30 minutes for an answer to a support request. Also very impressed with their "clustered" hosting platform that allows you to use both Linux and Windows hosting from the same domain

    CSNewmedia it is then!

TSO's pricing looks appealing, but I would have concerns about why it is so cheap.

Carl is very good. He ansered all my questions within the hour, helped me move my Joomla website across to their etc. etc. He even kept my website going as the cheque for renewal was sent as the Postal Strike hit our area badly. Top notch company and top notch bloke. Don't forget to mention you got the name from EduGeek.

Fully agree about Carl @ CS New Media, a totally all round guy, got an answer on a Sunday to a support ticket in about 5 minutes after submitting it!!! He helped me out all that day back and forth to try and get my Joomla working again, totally helpful guy well worth the money I pay

Bit late to the party but another recommendation for CS New Media here - Carl had our new hosting up and running in no time at all

Reading this thread from the end of last year, CS New Media kept popping up.

Can anyone give first hand accounts of how their CSNM hosted site stood up during the snow crisis? I'm looking for a hosting service for the school that can withstand 800% peaks in traffic at such a critically important time, backed up by a supplier who will respond accordingly.

    TIA...
