    JW FLV Media Player & Playlists

    Anyone had any dealings with this?

    I've got it playing singular files, but can't seem to get the playlist to work to play a selection of songs in a folder!

    Any ideas?

    Or do you have any suggestions of better embedded players?

    Thanks,
    Dan.

    I've got the .XML file - but code spins me out so I havn't a clue what to do to pick it up!

    And is the player supposed to have the playlist onscreen so you can pick what song you want etc?

    No i don't think it works in that way its just a media player, although you could write some javascript to change the xml file i am sure.

    However, if you cant write XML then javascript is probably out of the question. I am sure you can find a player where you drop the songs in a directory and it creates a playlist you can select from on the fly.

    JW can play XML playlists below is a one to play mp3 files.

    Code:
    <rss version="2.0">
    <channel>
    <title>Playlist</title>
        <item>
        <title>A Day to Remember - The Downfall of Us All</title>
        <link>
        http://jacknet.co.uk/music/artist.php?a=A+Day+to+Remember
        </link>
        <description>A Day to Remember - The Downfall of Us All - 3:29</description>
        <media:credit role="author">A Day to Remember</media:credit>
        <media:content url="http://jacknet.co.uk/mdfgdgvcb" type="audio/mpeg"/>
        </item>
        <item>
        <title>A Day to Remember - NJ Legion Iced Tea</title>
        <link>

        <media:content url="http://jacknet.co.uk/dfgdfgfg" type="audio/mpeg"/>
        </item>
    </channel>
    </rss>
    And i use the following options on the flash player

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script><script type="text/javascript">
    var so = new SWFObject('player.swf','mpl','470','290','9');
    so.addParam('allowscriptaccess','always');
    so.addParam('allowfullscreen','true');
    so.addParam('flashvars','&file=http://jacknet.co.uk/playlist.xml&autostart=true&playlist=bottom');
    so.write('player');
    </script>
