LimeSurvey and AD LDAP

Anyone managed to succesfully get LDAP to work with LimeSurvey. I've tried working though their docs adn the few examples on their forums but to no avail

Well that was fun. The reason it looks like it isn't working is because it doesn't use LDAP for authentication but for propagating participants that are completely different from users. No where does it actually tell you this. But now I know
