Re: Site Live-ish
Looks good - the only thing is that the search field looks a bit lonely. But since I can't think of anywhere better to put it, you shoudl probably keep it where it is.
I wish I could have got a site like that up and running, but since I leave tomorrow...!

Well done looks great, the only thing I will say is that on the links down the left hand side on the pupils page you have spelt governors wrong, not want you want to see on a school site, otherwise topmarks

Re: Site Live-ish
OK Cheers for comments. I'll keep tinkering.
Thanks for all your help with the site and info.
I'll sort out a full audit of the site as and when i can.
The only little thing that i really want to get working is the slideshow thingy but for some reason it doesnt like IIS and bombs out with some PHP line 94 message.
I'll put something in later on but for now it does it job.
It's going to be staff training soon so i'll probably get "can it do this" questions.

Is that the same sort of error as I mention in this post?

Re: Site Live-ish
Its something like that.
Nevermind i think i'm going to get round it by using something called flash rotator:
It seems to Work OK so far, i'll need to tinker and then install onto my user 6 area then hopefully get round it.
http://extensions.joomla.org/compone...437/Itemid,35/
It looks good just need to test it a bit before setting it to "live".

Re: Site Live-ish
The problem might be that the server is windows 2003 or something? I've spend enough time tinkering and now can't be arsed so i'm going for something else instead.

If you want a simple image rotator for the front page rather than the one in the package then you could look at Simple Image Rotator from Joomla Works
It doesnt have the popups, but just reads a folder of images. I have used it on another site I am about to make live.

Re: Site Live-ish
Is it a freebie? I'm a tight so and so... I'm sure i've tried messing with this in the past, but i'll give it another whirl before i commit to the flash rotator.#
Cheers sysman.

I've given up on everything to do with that website...
