hello,
i have added content to our homepage since sysman created the static template for me. One of these is a flash movie. it was working fine but when i opened the page in dreamweaver cs 3 it said the page is incompatible with ie7. i did not have ie 7 to test tis so i thought wellit should know so clicked go ahead and change it then.
Now it doesn't work in either ie6 or 7. Comes up as link broken.
Could anyone tell me the correct way to display swf embedded objects in these damn inferior browsers.
Safari and firefox works as should do.
TIA

Dreamweavor and contribute seem to arse-up flash content if you let them embed it or deal with the links.
Best thing to do would be to re-do the link manually
should be like this (nicked from adobe site)
<OBJECT classid="clsid
27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"
WIDTH="550" HEIGHT="400" id="myMovieName"><PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="myFlashMovie.swf"><PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high><PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#FFFFFF><EMBED src="/support/flash/ts/documents/myFlashMovie.swf" quality=high bgcolor=#FFFFFF WIDTH="550" HEIGHT="400"
NAME="myMovieName" ALIGN="" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash"
PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></EMBED></OBJECT>
obviously you'll need to change the height, width and src links.
