Hi Wes,
No there won't be anything for SharePoint 2007.
The other way to access the Office Web Apps (eg for students at home) will be through Windows Live SkyDrive, but that will be a 'consumer' way to get it - ie completely unmanaged by the school.
You can see that way in action already, by using the Office 2010 beta, and choosing the "Save to SkyDrive" option - that then activates the beta of the Office Web Apps on your SkyDrive acccount

Thanks for the reply, shame about that but I suppose an upgrade is looming ;)

Are the Office apps web parts going to be a paid add on then? Or part of the 2010 office package etc..
I very much doubt anything will be added on to SharePoint 2007, The WebApps Such as SkyDrive are Free anyhow.
I missed this earlier, but yeah these Office WebApps are just for SharePoint 2010.. and to be honest wes your better of upgrading anyway, it's not like you customized sharepoint 2007 with regards to masterpages etc, so not like you have to worry about that and the migration from 2007 > 2010 works very well.. content, pages and sites just migrate over without any problems *that i have found*.
James.
Sadly sims web parts may not be as forgiving...
