Frontor - monitoring usage

Hi, We've started using fronter in school this year since September. I have been asked to monitor the usage to see which users (staff and pupils) have logged on, when and which areas they have been accessing?

I have tried the Login stats but this just gives an overall number for each set of user rather than individual. Also I have accessed each of the classroom activity via the portfolio section however this does not give into on the staff. Neither of these methods give me the info that I need.

Any help gratefully received.

I don't think there is a way of logging individual usage. You can monitor popular rooms however. There's a tool to place on the Today page for that. This would show which rooms were being used most often. You could also look at storage stats to see who has used their own space.

Another tool for your Today page would be Resources or Documents, this would alert you to new items being created. The Today page Discussion tool would give similar info for all Discussions.

Hi - you can see how many times each user has visited a room.
Go to that room and choose 'portfolio' from the side tool bar.

Go to the 'statistics' tab and choose 'all staff' or whatever from the dropdown box.
Then click the view button.
Should give a breakdown of visits by each user...

Thanks for the info. Our rooms don't have a tool named "Portfolio", but I have found one called "My Very Best Work" which does the same thing. Is there any way that the stats can be exported?

it may be that your "My Very Best Work" is Portfolio just renamed.


Fronter login stats is exceptionally weak. I was hoping to see easy reports that would tell me which teaching staff have been (and have not been) logging in so that I could target training but it's not feasible to do. The new start of year class room creation mechanism should give me some feedback as to which imported class rooms have been enabled by teachers and which have not not. Currently no mechanism for doing this that I can see.
