Just a couple of quick questions about youtube content in moodle -
is it ok to put links to youtube content in moodle courses? , just wondering about any issues regarding legality etc?
also, is it ok to insert files in to a moodle course that have been ripped\downloaded (using third party s/w) from youtube?

If they're making it freely available on the public internet and you're linking to it, you're fine. Be aware the links may change over time and you're at the whim of whoever uploaded the video. (small chance of being goatse'd).Quote:

I meant that in the sense that "if I buy $resource for in-school use, many software vendors will let us use components (.pdfs, question sheets etc) on Moodle, because it's a closed system and not publicly available." Whereas we couldn't place it on publicly-facing areas of the school website.Quote:
