VLE Requirement for Pirmary Schools

Is it still a requirement that Primary Schools have to have a VLE, and if so is there any documents available with further details.

It would also be useful to know if Academies are required to have one as well.

The requirement was for online learning space ... and that could be met in a number of ways. At the moment there is no document from the DfE stating what the requirement is, but more guidance on technology will be coming out next year. At the moment the general push is to look at what successful schools do and to mirror / use their examples.

There is also no requirement for real-time online reporting, but there is a requirement to use the appropriate tools for Parental Engagement ... and good examples of this have included schools doing online reporting in various forms. Again, no DfE documents about.
