Moodle crashes on mass user upload

    Hi all,

using IIS 6 and php 5.1.6 on a zeon 3.0ghz server with 4gb RAM, IIS crashes when around 50 ish users try and upload at the same time. It works fine when only 15 or so try and upload their files. We thought the problem might just be IIS, so we've put apache on and its still as bad.

my config file is here http://edugeek.net/index.php?name=Fo...wtopic&p=80119

if anyone could help i'd be grateful.

How about limiting the concurrent connections then?

Re: Moodle crashes on mass user upload

Why not go to the Moodle "Hardware and Perfomance" forum. Plenty of discussions about what works and doesn't. Or the documentation for that section found here. Lots of tweaks to improve performance but, as Geoff mentioned, Linux is probably the best answer in the long term.
