    Cool Moodle Setup/Security

    Hello All,

We are looking In setting up a VLE, looking at budgets this year it looks like Moodle is our best choice so far, I am just wondering how use have got it set up e.g

Do use host it in house?
Have use got any security devices e.g firewall or is this down to the LEA?
Also is it part of the domain or its own.

    Thanks
    Liam

Why don't you just use a firewall service like Smoothwall, Block all ports except port 80, open maybe 443 for SSL if your going to use it. We're using a Ubuntu server with Webmin.

Hosted in house on a FreeBSD server running cPanel/WHM, behind an ISA Firewall. Not a member of domain, but has access to AD via LDAP, and to Facility via FreeTDS.
