Sharepoint Anonymous Access?
Hi - I've been asked to produce a sharepoint portal site which allows anonymous access. So I have.
It's called https://enterprise.leadinglearning.org.uk. It's basically a bunch of document libraries and so far as I can tell anonymous users have full access. However when someone tries anonymously to open a document like a Word or Powerpoint document they get a challenge. This doesn't seem to happen with a pdf document. If they cancel the challenge, which they may have to do several times, they can still see the document but is there any way to stop users getting the challenge at all?
Many thanks for any help.
Jay

I do get a certificate error when the site loads though...

Re: Sharepoint Anonymous Access?
Thanks very much guys. It looks as if the problem is only on site - I was beginning to suspect as much because when we cancel the login we get to the document but we get "access denied" to the workspace on the right hand side.
Thanks again.

Have you tried adding your site to the trusted sites zone?

Re: Sharepoint Anonymous Access?
I don't think this is it, it isn't that my browser reports a problem with the site but that the server asks for a login on accessing a document. I'm not sure but I think the issue may be one of having logged on in the past, from home I have the same issue as I have in school, but the two previous respondents did not have an issue at all.
Otherwise I don't know what is going on.
