Moodle: "add a resource" - gives a blank white web page - help please!
Moodle (1.9.2) starts properly, can login properly. I can open a course - turn editing on - then under "add a resource" - I select "link to a file or website". I'm given a blank white page only (in fact there's a problem with all the items on this pull down menu).
This only happened a few days back - but can't seem to find any help on Moodle forums. It's happening in school and at home (so I think I can rule out internal work servers issues or webfiltering).
Moodle is remotely stored on a linux server - it's more storage and we internally manage it - so I'm not expecting the provider to be of much use (but I have asked).
Appreciate any advice that anyone can offer.

4th March 2011, 10:51 AM #2 You'll need to turn error reporting on in your php.ini. This should show up the error for you and let you work on it. Also if your using IE try Firefox as this can sometimes show different errors.

Thanks guys - was trying to remember how to turn on the messages.
Using Firefox I'm getting.
Fatal error: Call to undefined method MoodleQuickForm_hidden::MoodleQuickForm_hidden() in /home/ctiw111/public_html/moodle/lib/pear/HTML/QuickForm/element.php on line 363
Checked IE also getting exact same message "Fatal error: Call to undefined method MoodleQuickForm_hidden::MoodleQuickForm_hidden() in /home/ctiw111/public_html/moodle/lib/pear/HTML/QuickForm/element.php on line 363"
I know this was working last Sat - as I uploaded some files. I've just been told by a techer here that this has been happening since approx Wed. Also had a phone call from hoster - he's been updating his server setting over the past few days also. But don't know it that's also having an effect.
I'm going to do a full backup and backup database - with the idea of possibly updating to a more recent version of 1.9.? - hoster setting cannot install version 2.

4th March 2011, 02:25 PM #7 ok you'll need to check your php version and take a look at this post
Using Moodle: Login Problems - Fatal error
If part of you server hosts updating was going to php 5.3 then you're going to need to upgrade Moodle. You should probably think about that regardless though as you're a good few versions behind
