    how to external access SharePoint

    hey people,

    i need a little bit help.. i have got an project
    and i have to create an SharePoint site.
    i have done this proper (i guess) but i also have to create the ability to remotely(external) access sharepoint
    can some you guys help me how to do this the best way ?

    Best way? Use TMG and publish the SharePoint site through that - Legacy - Configuring SharePoint publishing

    Alternatively it depends what you're planning to publish the site through.

    TMG will probably be the easiest option in that case. I assume you've already got a static IP address and domain name?

    If you want it to be externally accessed (i.e. from the internet) then you'll need to publish it as you would any other website, which will need a static IP address and the like. If you just want to have people from the school able to access it, then a VPN setup is all you'd need.

    What's the actual scenario you're going for?
