Hi how do you map a drive to a windows share from ubuntu desktop?

The network share doesn't get a 'drive' as it does in windows. In Linux everything sits somewhere in a single filesystem. You'll get a handy desktop icon for mounted network shres tho.

Or you can mount to a folder on the local drive for eample you can set /data to be \\server\share using the SMBMount

I was going to go down that route until j17Sparky suggested WinSCP in this thread. Hope it helps you? I have been using for 3 days now and having no issues at all.
