Just moving over masses of content over from our network shares to Moodle files on courses. Having a few problems with large zip files, they are massive one is 4.2GB. I'm copying the data as zip file over the course data folder, then unzipping inside moodle to ensure that the paths if they have any spaces in the file names that moodle sorts them out during the unzip process. Works fine with small archives, tried up to about 128MB so far, but big archives its not having any of it.
Any tips / pointers, or could i unzip it using something like 7zip with an option to rename the files if they have spaces in to something that will be readable on a website like putting a underscore or dash in the file name?
Any tips gladly recieved.
Cheers, Ben
Also on the massive files i get this error:
PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
Could i raise a filesize limit parameter somewhere? I'm thinking unzipping in 7zip or windows built in zip tool might seems to be one of the options that could be best.
answered my own question. If i unzip the contents into the data folder regardless of file name, moodle sorts out the files and put the % in when you open them in moodle, so happy file copying all day for me![]()
