Moodle - Please tell us more about yourself

Hi all,

Just added some users to Moodle and get the below screen when they try and do anything.

Is there a way I can turn this off/make it so they dont have to do it?

Really depends on what you want to do - Moodle requires a user profile which is what is being presented here.

if you make sure that all the required fields are filled in before the user logs in (when the accounts are created) this should stop it.

Are you using a hosted system or an internal system??

Really? There's got to be a way to turn this off. .....

Ah, Just looked at the image again...

You have locked out some of the required fields - namely Email Address, Location, Country

These fields need to be editable (or have a valid value in them) or you will just be presented with that page everytime you login.

If it is internal, why not use LDAP and load the settings in automatically?

Was the locked fields. My fault as I didnt populate all their fields/didn't understand how the profile system in Moodle works!
