Site Administration -> Courses -> Enrolments

Enable flatfile enrolment then edit the settings to specify where the Cron job picks up the file from.

    Ahh you're in luck

    /moodledata/1/enrolments.txt

    Moodledata/1 always = site files

On Site Administration -> Front Page -> Site files

Put the file there and it should work fine, you will also need to convert the file to a .CSV and it has to be comma delimited.

    like this

have a CSV file and go to site admin>users>accounts>upload users and there will be a browse box for you to upload your file to -then Moodle will do the rest. Make sure you have the correct fields - if you want to upload them straight into a course then you need username, password, firstname, lastname, email, role,co urse1 where role is student and course1 is the shortname of the course you want to enrol them into
