Need help installing applications on Sharepoint

I have a few pieces of software that I need to upload to our VLE which is based on Sharepoint but I have no idea where to start. Some of these apps are already in zip format based on SCORM but I don't have the first clue on how to go about installing it. Other applications are normal executables. Do I have to use IIS?

Any help is much appreciated.
