PLE What does it all mean
Hi Everyone
Has anyone been involved in the development of a PLE environment for online learning. It seems to be gathering quite a bit of momentum. The use of ELGG with Moodle seems to be a good starting point. I'm interested to here if anyone has set up this sort of social learning with ELGG or even sharepoint (letting staff and students blogg etc)

Personal Learning Environment
The details i've found so far relate to the use of social software to delivery education... staff using blogs or wikis, students creating collaboration groups etc. All very web 2.0 and all sounds very interesting

Sounds interesting, and I wonder how VLE's potentially already fill this. I get the impression FROG is a little like this already? the social FB kinda approach to a VLE??

Check out Moodle - we use it here - it's free and fairly user friendly
