    @maniac:

    Working in IE8 as long as you don't select the secure Https: + get the following on the top of the frame:

    function Resize(doMinimize) { if ( doMinimize ) { parent.resizeFrame('20,*') document.getElementById("maximized").className = "hidden"; document.getElementById("minimized").className = ""; } else { parent.resizeFrame('80, *') document.getElementById("maximized").className = ""; document.getElementById("minimized").className = "hidden"; } } //]]>

    It does tend to chuck a fair few of those sort of errors up from time to time. Beginning to regret chosing its learning now, as it's been a headache from the start. Just irritates me when something as straightforward as this doesn't work properly, and there's no apparent reason why. Even more frustrating when there's no consistantcy with the problems. Looks like we could be in for fun times when the students start using the thing at home in the new year (Providing of course I can get it working in school before then)

    we had a problem like this and the cure was the flash player secutity settings
    these settings are accessed from the following site
    Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Global Security Settings panel

    the file it creates is stored in the application data folder

    settings.something i cant quite remeber what it is.

    i copied this into our mandatory profiles and all works well for us.

    Hope this helps.

    thats the oly thing i can think of sorry

    Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security. Go to Custom Level for the zone that IE thinks the site is in (should be on status bar near the right). Set all the ActiveX Controls and Plugin entries to Enable.

    Does this change anything?

    It's added as a trusted site for us, and security is set at the lowest possible.

    Windows 7 IE8 Working

    Came up with a message about mixed security mode where you have to press no or yes

    So has everyone else said, you need to change the security settings
