Default Anyone here used IT's Learning as their VLE?

I was quite impressed when they came in to give us a demo. Although we didn't get to have a go ourselves.

If you want to have a go yourselves, they maybe able to give you a demo logon for 1 of the demo sites. I've had that before when I was looking at VLEs for 1 of the schools I was working in a few years ago.

I had a demo from them a while back. Looks good but not sure if what I saw was the full VLE part as we run Moodle and they just showed us how it can link in. We got the info from a company called webanywhere.

We use It's Learning and have done for a couple of years now. We are in Oadby, Leicester, so if you fancy coming over for a look you are most welcome.

Sounds like an offer I can't refuse. I used to live in Leicester for a while so it would be nice to pop up sometime. We're pretty busy up to Christmas but I'll send you a PM sometime in the new year if we're still hot for IT's Learning.

We're using Its learning here, and it's been relatively speaking OK.

They've got a new service and way of importing users now, so its links better with your MIS system, there were some teething problems with this but it seems to be working now - their support was very helpful throughout this process.

It's been a bit hit and miss recently with regards to reliability, but they do keep you informed of the problems quite promtly by e-mail so can't complain too much about that. So far all the problems have been out of hours, and havn't affected the use of it too badly.

We've had several problems with SCORM content working properly. I think this is mainly to do with the fact that the SCORM content seems to be served from a non secure server which confuses internet explorer as it's displaying a mixed content page. Even with the option turned on to allow this, it still doesn't always work properly for us. This is only on some packages however, so it may be the packages fault, or the platforms fault we simply don't really know at the moment - the issue is on going.

Overall the staff and students like using it and find it quite intuative, and it does have a lot of features. The costs are reasonable for what you get in my opinion.

Regards,

Mike.
