Is anyone else awaiting Uniservity..............???????

How would you rate it for a Middle School (Y5-7)? It looks like uniservity is the way the pyramid is going and I won't get a say in it. To be honest, as long as it doesn't have too many technical issues, I'm past caring if it is educationally unsound. Not the right attitude I know![]()
Well I'm in a middle school and still waiting for Uniservity to get back to us.........we've filled in all the forms and paid........but nothing yet!! Our pyramid is going for Uniservity too.........hopefully without too many issues.....![]()

We're not the same pyramid by any chance? I know that WCC is plugging Uniservity and the lovely Emma was pestering us to place orders months ago. ot heard much from them of late. They did a presentation at Finstall towards the end of last term but I didn't go.
Our LA bought Uniservity for all its schools last year. We, along with a number of other secondaries have not taken it up and have stuck with things like Moodle, Sharepoint and Kaleidos.
Our assessment of the Uniservity offering was that it is fine for primaries or secondaries with nothing currently in place and little expertise but otherwise that it is certainly not technologically the best or educationally the best.
Haha.......I do think we are.....didnt go to the presentation but we have bought in and are awaiting a reply from Uniservity (we paid/completed forms, etc before summer hols)........I'll PM you laserblazer!!
Good luck guys and gals it isnt shall we say,... 'quick'
Trying to do a training session yesterday with only 10 teachers all on at the same time, I lost count of the amount of timeouts and 'uniservity has encountered a problem' messages popping up![]()

How does Uniservity handle parental access? This seems to be the biggest Bee in Bonnet at present!
I've read a lot of criticism on these blogs, but I have to say we've had Uniservity for three years. I found it very simple to use, and have trained other staff too. We've had very few problems - generally quickly rectified by the Helpdesk. Any platform is only as good or bad as the interest and commitment given to it.

I found this product to be 'cobbled together' and that's partly what I think put people off using it to it's full potential.

Anyone getting any further? Are there any special server requirements to run it. Cant think why but our Bursar is telling me we need a new admin and curriculum server but I'm also told we have no money.
