Moodle & Google Apps integration by Moodle Rooms - anyone using it?

    Anyone using this in production?

    http://development.moodlerooms.com/c...id=30&page=587

I was looking at SSO portals to use with Google Apps, this seems a lot simpler. As I read it, Moodle authenticates from LDAP database, automatically does the SSO bit, creates accounts and logs you into Google Apps.

I'm guessing it might cause problems with direct access to imap, smtp, calendars etc as the passwords wouldn't be set.

Or is anyone doing anything similar with SimpleSAML instead?

did you get ant further with this?
I've provisioned all my accounts and deciding on the SSO method, out LEA hasn't sorted Shibboleth and I was about to look at moodlerooms soln - is is possible to turn off the account provisioning? we already have this set up with AD as it does all the group migration as well.

To be honest i've put all of the Google Apps integration on hold as our AD backend is still a little unorganised and I was still evaluating the postini sync tool for a direct link between AD and Moodle.

I was hoping to test the Moodle Rooms system on another domain and a test moodle system rather than plug it straight into the live one just incase I managed to lock myself out, but haven't had the time.

The documentation and feedback on the Moodle Rooms plugins seem a little sparse too.

Just an update - I installed a test moodle server that was a replication of our onsite moodle.
I then installed the moodlerooms patch, configured it, configured google and it all works first time:
users get authenticated to Active Directory and are logged into moodle and google simultaneously - couldn't be easier really.
