Well, matt40k, you've made me laugh today I can just imagine the Becta Approved Chimp-on-a-stick list coming out.

If you are looking to gain the ICT Mark for your educational establishment I recommend you starting with what was formally known as the Becta Matrix. It is a self-assessment of the current standard you are at. It is by no means a simple and straight forward process, you will have to work through evidence of each criteria. If I recall it goes through a 7 Section booklet, Management, resources, curriculum, CPD, and others i forget at this moment in time.
It would be wise to sit down, go through each section and compare yourself against the 5 sentences, being honest and giving evidence where appropriate.
From that you can begin to factor in ways of improving each component, in past experience, a section at a time. If you can show signs of excelling in a single area, it may be enough to bring in the "Becta inspecta" (boom boom) and be accredited for a single component of the framework. Again however from past experience it would be better to have A-grades within 3/4 sections before moving onto the inspection.
