    Moodle Course Content

Does anyone know of any sites that offer course content for Moodle? Free or otherwise?

I want to populate the VLE with a few courses for training and display purposes.

    Thanks

    Wes

Don't forget that the NWGfL DiDA materials come as Moodle courses too.

This is something I will be taking a serious look at implementing over the summer - once the main work is out the way - problem is our LEA wont let us publish a server onto the internet - so will need to host it all on an external server and hope the internet connection doesn't get screwed up

    Re: Moodle Course Content

Would posters at the edugeek be willing to distribute course material or courses, therefore building a collective library of moodle courses for all to share.

Would be an excellent place for no doubt top-notch content.

I for one would like to see this sort of thing if it was possible and people were willing.

I have just last week installed Moodle on my localhost to look at its potential and it does have some.

The only problem is that it is for primary school and therefore finding (decent well-made) courses for this age range isn't easy.

I will try and make some when my workload reduces and would also contribute if it is indeed feasible.

Perhaps we could even hassle Dagza to host along with his other resources?

Would anyone onconsider to volounteer to help write some courses? User guides for staff? A course on how to set up /run a help desk? How to guides based from the Wiki?

No hassling needed. It makes sense to have everything in one place. It would be a great addition to the site and also help a lot of moodle users 8)

If anything happens give me a nudge and I will sort out anything that is needed.

    Re: Moodle Course Content

When Moodle cources are backed up, does all the info about course teachers/users get backed up? If I import somebody elses moodle course into my moodle, I don't want all this info. Apologies if this is a particularly novice question as I've only imported the moodle features course so far.

    Re: Moodle Course Content

When you backup a course you get a load of options and you can choose what you don't want backing up with the course.
