I was asked a while ago if I could train the staff up on uniservity, how it works and what you can do with it.
I, of course, totally forgot until being reminded yesterday and the training is tomorrow.:
Anyway my main problem is how to convince staff how great uniservity is when I don't believe in it!
I suppose I could show them how the wikis and blogs work and will probably take the whiole two hour session up.
Has anyone any suggestions of other things I could show off about uniservity?
Thanks
Well, I've been racking my brains on this one and, in all honesty, haven't been able to come up with a single thing.
Sorry.
Just before the training turn off your router. Job done no learning platform...no training.
Haha, great plan........I'll remember that one!!![]()
Well the site is down at the moment, so fingers crossed for tomorrow!![]()

We did it like this, make your internal domain authoritative for the uniservity servers, change the DNS of the uniservity server to that of your moodle installation. Show staff moodle instead and they will instantly be enlightened.Has anyone any suggestions of other things I could show off about uniservity?

This will save you a lot of hassle and teachers will have a better experience.
I like moodle, some staff like moodle but authority like uniservity????
I think a good idea may be to simply bang together a quick email/word document with direct links to the cLc Sucess tutorial pages?
They have text and video tutorials that are aimed at teachers and they really are simple to follow. You will just want to make sure the user accounts have the correct permissions.

I would also suggets you find out how much space you have for uniservity as ive found the biggest question from teachers I recieve is re: how much space they have for uploading videos, podcasts etc.
I am currently advising on moving away from uniservity for RM's offering or Frog, both of which seem to be far ahead of uniservity.![]()

To be honest - there'as no point in doing unprepared last minute training for your teachers as it will do much more damage than good. If I were you I would cancel the training until you can either fully prepare - or cancel it all and move to moodle
Butuz
think you should be a little more careful about what you post especially as you have identified yourself fully in the profile.
your school , LA and Uniservity can trace you through this.
we are all entitled to our opinion but maybe you should be a little more cautious?
A friend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
