your school , LA and Uniservity can trace you through this.
we are all entitled to our opinion but maybe you should be a little more cautious?

I'm not bothered if the LA, uniservity or my school read my post. I have already explained to my school that I don't believe that uniservity is the right product for us. The LA have provided us uniservity for free for two years so I have no complaints at all for them. They supply lots of things for us, some good some bad. As for uniservity, I hope they read everything that people say about them. Perhaps they will listen and change so that they can become more like a proper VLE.
Also I don't remember being particulalry harsh about uniservity in my posts just being worried about having to try to "sell" it to the staff, which by the way went well.

Then you're the wrong person to be doing training in it, simple as that. Is there anyone else who could provide training, or would Uniservity be willing to provide a trainer for a day?
There's absolutely no point in you trying to train people in use of a product which you're quite evidently against. You will end up doing a lot more harm than good, and reinforcing your own viewpoint to the detriment of staff and students.

7th April 2009, 08:29 AM #20 Too late now. I trained them last Friday.
think the staff would prefer me to train them than a "face" from uniservity.
I wasn't going to go in there and say "don't even bother this is a load of rubbish".
I trained them as well as I could on what I knew and how best they could use it.
I don't walk around the school mumbeling under my breath how cr@p uniservity is. I don't think it is that bad but I do think there are better products out there which would be better for our high school.
I know that about a year from now nobody will be using uniservity in our school and I will have to find alternative which to honest will probably not be used either!

Just from this comment, I can pretty much guarantee you'll be right.
