Moodle/SIMS

My School is looking at using Moodle to create a personalised VLE.

I have two questions:

1) Can Moodle and SIMS be integrated for use within the School?

2) Is anyone currently working with ULCC (London) in managing their VLE?

Depends to what degree, I think I have read that Moodle 2.0 is planning more MIS integration features. We have Fronter here and its integrated with the MIS but its not proved useful at all bar creating users for us its managed to create 10000 rooms all called 10/PS/S or similar which is no use at all!!!

I think the LDAP authentication module is more useful as it sorts out the users for you which is the main way we use SIMS in Fronter.

There is investigative work afoot by a couple of SIMS partners to see how feasible Moodle integration is, but other than that.....

Check out these guys, they are a Moodle Partner and have integrated SIMs into Moodle, looks like they have online reporting to parents available.

I have looked at this but it just seems to be enrollment and timetable, there is no mention of parental reporting for attendence, assessment etc.

Also from the site I linked it sound like the software provides an automated service for the schools.

The brochure shows a screenshot of the software, must admit from what I have read so far it sounds really cool.

Has anyone heard of this partner before, or seen the software in a demonstration?

I have been asked by a school in yorkshire on what was available and I simply looking... try typing into google moodle sims integration & you will find both the moodle partner company & edugeek in top 4 listing...wonder how I cam across the feeds

can you advise me on this software at all Dan, I will be feeding back in January & leaving it with the school to take forward... have you seen this or can you suggest any other alternatives other than the one I have mentioned.

I want to try find the school atleast 3 options but have only come across this and Sims Learninig Gateway that provides reporting?
