Moodle Themes

I've spent about 5 hours this weekend putting together a new Moodle Theme, I had an idea in mind for a few months now so thought i should try and realise the vision.

Its not finished but thought id put a screenshot up of the theme so far and see wht people thought?

A good look ... and one that has been done before in other VLEs / LPs.

I've done it in FirstClass and I have seen it done in a few others too. It is always a good one for engaging staff as a replacement for the regular noticeboard too. Struggling to get staff to use your VLE, then this is a good way to give them a reason to get used to electronic information ... the electronic noticeboard.

I know alot of other VLE's use this style, just thought it was about time Moodle did?

Looking good. Will look better if you round off some corners and used to different icons.

I'm going to disagree with all the above and say it's horrible.

The layout is fine but the background makes reading the text difficult (especially the blue) and the Dark Blue on Dark Gray menu does not work.

Back to the Pin board ....... eeerrmm I meant drawing board

The text size, colour, style has even been looked at yet, thats the easy part! lol

The text will need to be positioned differently for each block type depending on the background of the black header etc....

The middle section is a mess at the moment and will probably have a white background, probably make it look like a sheet of A4 pinned to the board.

Looks great! Good theme for a "virtual staffroom". one thought -maybe each topic box down the middle looking like a separate note? (if the theme is applied to a course as oppose to the front page) But love it- thanks for sharing!
