Moodle help with CLEO MIS TOOL please

Ubuntu server set up and Moodle 1.9 running fine but empty.

Downloaded CLEO MIS IMPORT TOOL and installed the patches as per the readme.

logged in to moodle site and clicked
"Users -> MIS Uploads -> Upload Users

the URL changes to:

http://"myipaddress"/local/cleo_mis/cleo_mis_uploadusers.php

The URL changes to this but then I just get a blank page...

I have turned on PHP debugging and the error returned now is:


Catchable fatal error: Object of class admin_root could not be converted to string in /var/www/moodle/admin/pagelib.php on line 149
