you can connect via tsql so there no firewall issues.
Add the views and it should work.
Hi
Sorry i have put sims integration on hold for course works in school, I am back to integrate on full.
Well good news is i can manage to Add employee ID on to AD and can import upn for students on to moodle, it works fine.
i have manually created sims time table view for student and staff and i can view using tsql
I have resetup whole from scratch and i am still stuck with empty timetable

and i am doubting it's and php-mssql issue,
on ubuntu 8.04lts i have installed php5-sybase.
and for sims_timetable block on moodle Lessons labels i have entered is 1,2,3,4,5,6
Any suggestions Please.

Attendance from sims.net
Morning,
Is there any chance of importing student attendance from sims.net (weekly basis) as moodle block, as we can import timetable.
Cheers :0)

can you add the line
var_dump(mssql_fetch_array($result));
on line 87 just before the while loop.
if it doesn't return any results then there is a issue with freetds setup.

FIXED: Now uses moodle DB layer instead of native php command for mssql.
ADD: Ability to enable/disable link to moodle course.
ADD: Error checking on SIMS.net connection.

Can you expand on the context of how the data would be displayed?

It some thing like
present attendance sessions with percentage
eg
Your Attendance
Present : 95.6%
sessions: 305
or just
Your attendance
95.6%
on moodle blocks
Thanks

7th July 2009, 11:30 PM #89 OK Here goes,
Have been playing with this since 07:15 this morning and I am well, stuck.
I have the following setup:
Sims2Ad - not setup as I do not need to have sims exported to AD
FreeTDS - Setup on Ubuntu
Sims.Net - enrollment setup
Sims_Timetable - installed no errors
If i login as a student (LDAP Auth is working as this how our current moodle setup works), I goto My Courses and select the timetable block i get cannot connect to SIMS.NET error.
What do i need to do in order to check the connectivity?
I have checked the SQL server used by SIMS and the custom MDL_ views are not to be found so i assume an install issue with the block maybe?
any help would be grand as I would really like to get this setup as the school want to use this method of course creation to ensure school wide adoption of the vle.
[edit]
I know the username and password for the sql server are correct as i have used them same to access the sql manager[/edit]
