Moodle - Mapping AD groups to course enrollments

    Hi All,

I want to setup a moodle course page where only teachers have access, I would prefer to do this via AD groups however I cant see any option link them together even though I have LDAP and SSO setup and working correctly - I would assume moodle should pull in LDAP groups but cannot find the option for it

There seems to be no way to do it without doing a bit of scripting and using the enrollment plugins. I've never done it myself like this, as the few courses we have that need this, I just do with a CSV semi regularly that I generate from AD.

Just to add, I suppose this could be made to work for you: https://docs.moodle.org/27/en/LDAP_enrolment

It would seem to involve modifying AD accounts though.

We've done this with Moodle. All we did was take guest rights off the course and enroll all staff in it. As I said, for us, it's just easier to export a CSV from AD or SIMS and update the few courses we have like this manually a few times a year. It takes just a few moments to put together a CSV in Excel.
