    sharepoint 2007/sims intergration

We are running MOSS 2007. Is there a free way to link sharepoint to SIMS. As SIMS want £4k for the web parts. Any Ideas

    Thanks

You could look at Performance Point and MIIS both Microsoft products.

In the new year I will be trialing Performance point and will report back.

Also the webparts are not very good either, they are far from being a complete sims gateway for your VLE.

I disagree with ittech but then I would wouldn't I!

Scottyses, it depends on what you mean by linking MOSS to SIMS. If you want simply to create accounts in AD from pupil, parent and staff data in SIMS then we have a tool that automatically manages this and is a lot cheaper than £4K. If you want web parts that allow teacher, parents and pupils use to SIMS in a browser then yes that is more expensive.

Indeed Domino I am talking Learning Gateway but the AD tool is completely "stand alone" from our web parts

theres a product from salamandersoft which will create all your classes for SLK in SharePoint 2007 - pulls all the information from your MIS backend server. Save loads of admin time. Also does it for Moodle and class server. Will also keep them all upto date as well.
