    Make sure apache is shown as an exception in your windows firewall (if it's turned on.)

    If it's not shown, then add port 80 as an exception, this will let webtraffic through the firewall.

    I have found out what the problem was, bloody windows firewall :x turned it off for now, is there anyway to configure the windows firewall so that I can have it on?

    also I need the GD Library installing as I cannot see images such as similies etc, how do you do this?

    Windows "firewall" is more useless than a chocolate teapot on an internal LAN anyway so you might as well leave it disabled.

    To enable GD: click WAMP tray icon > PHP settings > PHP extensions > php_gd2.

    On the moodle server go to http://localhost/?phpinfo=1 - scroll half-way down the page and look for GD - this will show if GD is running.

    However I suspect that GD is not the cause of the problem where images aren't being displayed. Could you post your Moodle configuration and the IPs/URLs you are trying to access Moodle from?
