    Moodle White Screen of Death

i cannot explain this one at all.

i have two users both with the same system permissions but when i 'Turn editing on' on one of them i am given the white screen of death while the other one is fine.

can anyone explain why this is happening?

i am running moodle 2.2.5 and the users are being added in using facility to moodle.

If your turn debugging on to developer and select output errors to screen, you will see why your getting the issue.

If you 'view source' of the white screen what do you see?

Shouldn't be getting that Fac-to-Moodle error... I can't reproduce it here on my 2.2 install. Back up it's tables (they all begin with mdl_block_facility_to_moodle...) and copy its folder elsewhere so that you have a copy of it as it currently stands, and remove it, then see if the error still exists. The only way to rule out Fac-to-Moodle as the cause is to remove it from the equation entirely by deleting it I'm afraid.

i have found out how to solve the problem, if the user's authentication method is set to 'LDAP Capture' then i get a white screen when i change this to 'LDAP Server' this issue disappears. therefore i think it must have something to do with the LDAP Capture auth method. i will check the coding for this and see if the problem is still there

Download and reinstall LDAPCapture... if prob still occurs, try the version that this is forked from, over at Citricity Ltd 2012

Both are compatible with fac-2-moodle / network drive access blocks.
