Elgg authentication and Moodle

Firstly does anyone have the module to link moodle to elgg as moodle.org doesn't have it anymore?

Secondly has anyone got Elgg to authenticate against say an IMAP server or Active Directory?

2) Elgg LDAP authentication works with Active Directory. You just need to change:

$CFG->ldap_filter_attr = 'sAMAccountName';

Have you had any luck using this Geoff? I'm struggling trying to get it to work between Moodle on NetBSD and Elgg on Windows 2003 server?

Well Elgg works on its own and moodle does too the problem I think I'm having is the instructions are for elgg on a *nix box not windows just wondering if you'd ever tried this authentication method when using a windows box?

No... I have a Rack Mount Fujitsu running Ubuntu 6.06 LTS . Setup as a LAMP Server. Everything runs off it as seperate virtual hosts.

However the HOWTO does address your setup. You need to use the 'cp' method and have the folder shared on your W2k3 system and mounted on your BSD machine.

Okay I've set them up. As long as you make your you aren't logged into ELGG you can click the join now! button and your aren't greeted with a blank page or NO SUCH LMSHOST error message. The trouble is even though I've used the join now button and joined moodle still asks me to join now every time I go to the block on my course?

Has anyone else suffered with this?
