Yeh it is, but there are a few benefits. It means now when you post asking for a quote its private and everyone doesnt know your in the market for x or y which some dont like and also something a robk mentioned was if you order a lot of kit and people can figure out where you are its a thief's dream.

I think it will be met by approval from the sponsors too. They'll be pleased their captive market isn't being targetted. When I first read this, I hadn't thought of the "Thief's dream", but it is a very good point!

7th June 2011, 08:01 PM #6 If I created a thread in the new forum, would I need to remember to subscribe to it for it to be drawn to my attention, or will appear in the "New Posts" list anyway?

I think it's a great idea! It feels like I've had to report a lot of people recently trying to "steel". Quite annoying!
Thanks

It for that reason that whenever we get large deliveries, I always take the cardboard to the local recycling centre myself instead of putting it into the normal bins. As we're a fairly rural school, the possibility of a break in is quite high and we have had equipment stolen over the years.
