Download google earth to a machine and install.
Check to find when the msi is in event viewer, this is mine.
Ending a Windows Installer transaction: C:\Users\administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\._msige6 1\Google Earth.msi. Client Process Id: 1660.
Put all the content fom the temp folder where the google earth msi is into a network share folder in SYSVOL
Then edit this script for a bat file in the startup
\\server-name\SYSVOL\scripts\software\google_earth\GoogleEa rth.exe /S /v/qn /V"/qn ALLUSERS=1"
Thanks for language editing advice for getting the MSI to deploy, despite MSI properties set it still seems to install to \Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Loc al\Google; I've just given authenticated users read/execute to this directory for now but curious if all the msi users run from this directory? Google Earth 6.2 by the way.
Thanks for all this information. It took me a while to fiddle about but eventually got there. I managed to install version 6.2 ok. I decided to write up a guide in a little bit more depth and more of a step by step for people who may prefer it that way and i have put it here : Guide to deploying Google Earth. I have used a couple of small snippets from here so I hope thats ok. It explains how to do it using group policy and the modifications option.
