Quick question for usa members how did you found out about the site?
Russ
I found Edugeek one time when I was using Google to try to find a solution to a server issue. One of the top search results was for a topic on the Edugeek forum.
I found it through a search i was doing for hardware issues.
I believe I found the site when I was searching for Novell help - one of the forums came up..loved the responses and haven't gone anywhere else since.
I'm hoping for more of a US presence on the boards..let me know how I can best help spread the word!

We welcome everyone from everywhere here!
I've found spreading the word has been different for many people, some just word of mouth, others have used Edugeek in exemplar solutions on other forums etc and as such it's just grown and grown!
I don't know much about the US education system etc but I wonder whether we face the same kind of problems day in day out which could help draw some comfort for all concerned parties and learn new ways of handling issues.
Hello,
I was searching Google for Joomla templates for use with a school related website and found the free one offered by Edugeek. I also found this great forum. Thank you for the kind welcome.
Cheers

I was googling something that was school specific and came across the site. Fell in love with the idea and joined right away.

You need to tell everyone you meet how wonderful we are!
I'm not sure how things work over the pond but if you will be attending any conferences, shows, meetings, etc. where there may be potential members, please contact an admin and we'll see if we can sort you out some merchandise to pass around.

Also what trade mags etc both educational ( I know about Tech & Learning but what others) and technical do you read in usa?

I had a few friends that freqent EduGeek as readers and they told me to check it out. I followed EduGeek for a few months before finally pulling and making a log in for myself
I don't remember how I found edugeek. My first post was asking about how to plan for a budget, so maybe I specifically went looking for a forum for IT people in education institutions.
Well, the problem that brings me here today is certainly shared across all geographic and political boundaries. It's a problem installing network printers for all users on lab computers. It's probably not a common problem outside of education institutions.
Like many other people, I found it while searching for information on an issue. I said "Edugeek", that sounds about right.
My company, SmoothWall, is a sponsor in the Internet Related section of the forum. I'm the Regional Account Manager for the south of the USA.
I located this site trying to track down a pesky problem I'm having with a IE7 issue.
