Prob the best TV program I have every watch too...best blew me away. Driving my better half nuts but quoting it :) .
Honestly though...not sure about "Better Call Saul" as a prequel. Loved the character (of course!)...but we know what happens to him. For example, if he gets into situations with undesirables we will know that he makes it out ok, thus no tension. Mind you....if its the same creative team from Breaking Bad, I'm sure it's going to be good.
One of my favorite tributes....of course don't watch it if you've not seen it all.
Better Call Saul might actually be bringing back Walter White and other Breaking Bad characters - News - TV & Radio - The Independent
So...not a prequel then? Interesting.....
Finished watching Breaking Bad last month (month before?) with the missus - took us about six months because teenage daughters are not conducive to maintaining control of the TV.
Absolutely the greatest drama ever put out, because everything that happened, happened because of the characters. There was no deus ex machina or contrived external influences - just Walt careening from catastrophe to catastrophe, taking small and sensible steps at each stage but inevitably escalating everything towards that incredible finale. And my god, what an ending. Once Gus Fring was out the way, I wondered if it would lose its way a bit, because he was such a superb antagonist, but I don't think I've ever been so tense as throughout that final season: the train heist when Walt risked Jesse and Todd to get what he wanted, when Walt confronted Hank in the garage, when the neo-Nazis turned up in the desert and shot Hank...
Genuinely my favourite thing ever. Better Call Saul will probably be a bit more comedic, I reckon - I mean, Saul Goodman, how could it not be? :)
