Hello,
I have a few TCs and I'm trying to encourage the staff to use them more.
When there's no-one logged on from the client, the servers disconnects after 30 seconds. I've configured the TC to reconnect after 1 second. This is disconcerting for the users.
How do I get the logon screen to stay visible for as long as possible? (Server 2008 R2). I want the TC to look like a normal PC.

Done some reading. It looks like the logon screen timeout is by design and can't be changed. It's to save resources, although the client immediately reconnecting defeats this. It's similar to the way in XP, when a user presses ctrl+alt+del, the logon screen appears for a fixed time then goes.
I get it now.

Here is a very quick solution tested on server 2008 r2
To help anyone else that has the same problem as i did,
1/ Goto: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp
2/ Create DWORD
3/ Name: LogonTimeout (DWORD)
4/ Value: Specifies the time in seconds – Decimal Value – 300. Hex - (12c)its 5 minutes. - 3600. Hex (e10) is 1hr
5/ Please reboot the server after adding the above key.

I've tried the reg setting and still no luck.
I didn't have the RDP-TCP reg key (Had RDP-TCP8 & RDP-TCP9) so created that and still no luck.
I've attached pic of the reg keys.
I have added the 'LoginTimeout' key DWORD to all of the keys as i'm pulling my hair out.
Any help would be great.
