Re: Citrix on old machines
Thinstation is a popular choice and there is a floppy image in this post to do it for you
Re: Citrix on old machines
There's no need for Thinstation if your machines can PXE boot by themselves of course. It's well worth doing if possible. Removing the hard drive cuts down on the heat and power of the machines and they last longer as there's no moving parts.
Re: Citrix on old machines
I've tried using thinstation live cd but it keeps saying i havent put the boot floppy in, downloaded several times and on different machines
Anyone come across a similar problem?
Re: Citrix on old machines
I should have said that the image I posted is just meant to get an old non PXE complianent machine to PXE boot and isnt actually thinstation. You have to setup your TFTP server and put the appropriate thin station or which ever thin client distro you use with the appropriate configuration.
Re: Citrix on old machines
@adamyoung: Check out the materials from my talk at the conference. There is a page of instructions on how to set up a baisc install of THinstation in about 10mins. Just go to www.edugeekconference.net
Re: Citrix on old machines
Struggling with thinstation/pxes. Is it possible to install a small linux distro that only loads Citrix ICA?
Re: Citrix on old machines
Those 2 you have mentioned are the more popular tools of choice for what you are describing. What problems are you having?
Re: Citrix on old machines
morning all, adamyoung did you get anywhere with a linux distro and ica client i would like to implement the same thing here and like you can't fathom out thin station.
